A Little Beauty Haul!

So, recently I ventured back to my home town for a week (hence my absence), and discovered that many of the stores in my local shopping centre were having sales, which of course meant that I had to go shopping. Although I don't think I went too crazy, here are a few of my favourite purchases;

These balms are absolutely divine. They are super nourishing, with a gorgeous creamy texture that make you feel like you're slathering your lips in heaven. However they also have an excellent colour payoff. Be careful though, definitely take this with you if you are going out for a day, reapplying necessary!

I adore the colour of this nail polish. A light minty green with a hint of cream, it's a perfect go-to shade. So far I've had it on for 2 days with no chips, making it a great formula. However this is definitely a build able nail polish and at least two coats are required. But trust me - it's worth it!

I've always had a huge love for baby lips. They are always great when your lips are feeling a bit gross, and you need a nourishing balm on the go. Even greater, they contain SPF 16 AND they now come in colours! Definitely a basic essential lip product in my collection.

This has been my all time favourite mascara for a long time now. A staple in my everyday makeup routine, it is super lengthening and volumising which is great if, like me, you have tiny little weedy eyelashes. I recommend this mascara to everyone I know, however if you know a good dupe for this, please let me know too!

Ask anyone who knows me and they will confirm that I am literally a walking Body Shop, particularly when it comes to skincare, so I felt it was only right to give this product a whirl. I've always been a big fan of the Body Shop's Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil, but I felt it was time to change it up a little bit. Although this product is effective in removing eye and lip makeup, I definitely find the Silky Cleansing Oil a much more effective option. This makeup remover requires a lot of the product and is a time-consuming process, in comparison to the quick scrub of the Silky Cleansing Oil, however still a great product nonetheless.

This concealer is one that is definitely true to it's name. Super illuminating and creamy it is great for early mornings and those inevitable dark under eye circles. However, it is also great for any large blemishes and even as an illuminator.

This perfume is another staple in my everyday routine. Although my love for Chanel No.5, Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck, and J'adore by Dior will outlast the test of time, this is a great everyday fragrance if you just want a quick spritz to freshen up.

So, that's it friends. There seems like there was a lot of Maybelline loving in this blogpost, but hey, I don't make the makeup, I just choose the best bits.
Let me know if you have any recommendations based on these products, as I always love testing out new ones!

Hi There!

And welcome to my blog!
I have been wanting to start my own blog for quite some time now, as a way to express my love for beauty, fashion, lifestyle and travel, and a place to write down my daily experiences, but I've been way too nervous to put myself out there up until now.
So, I guess I should introduce myself.
My name is Lauren, or as my blog title suggests, you can call me Ren for short.
I am 18 years old, and a born and bred Aussie, having spent my whole life on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW, until a recent move for university took me to my lovely capital city, Canberra.
Currently, my life is a bit insane as living two different lives two different states can be chaotic, yet the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me.
So, I am starting this blog to document it all, my life, and my passion for beauty, fashion, lifestyle and travel,
And I would love you all to come on this adventure with me!
Love, Lauren xxx
